Fall 2021 Incoming Student Webinar Series

The Incoming International Student Webinar Series provides incoming international students the opportunity to learn more about the NSU community before they arrive in South Florida.  These webinars are optional but highly recommended for all new NSU F-1 students.  Recordings and slides will be posted within 24 hours after each event.

 

Webinar #1: Immigration Details & Travel Arrangements For New Students

This webinar will discuss the process of obtaining your NSU I-20, applying for your F-1 visa, and what to expect as you prepare to depart your home country and travel to the U.S.  This year, additional time will also be dedicated to COVID-19 related travel disruptions. There will be a Q&A section at the end. 


Webinar #2: COVID-19 Immigration Details & Travel Arrangements for Returning Students

This webinar will discuss considerations pertaining to COVID-19 and arriving back to the US. Topics covered include: the removal of COVID-19 travel restrictions, vaccines, quarantine, face to face versus online course enrollment, etc. There will be a Q&A section at the end.

NSU has many resources to help students be successful, in and out of the classroom.  This webinar will provide an overview of academic resources such as advising and tutoring as well as critical resources for personal success such as counseling services and mediation.
